Atalanta Weller creates shoes designed for living in. With her unique understanding of relaxed luxury, shoes are designed to go from day to night without missing a stride. Whether a signature checkerboard flat or a subversive stiletto, the balance of aesthetics with her technical understanding is always of paramount importance in the creation of her shoes.
Atalanta Weller's eponomous brand of relaxed Luxury footwear launched to Critical acclaim in 2010 and was stocked globally from Browns and Harvey Nichols in London to Galleries La fayete in China and much in between.
The Atalanta Weller brand wholesaled the collection with the London Show room in Paris, Premier classe and in showrooms in NYC, Los Angeles and Milan. In addition she built a strong direct sales business.
As well as designing commissions for Swaraski and Barbie, she has designed and produced sell out collaborations for major high street retailers ; Atalanta by Atalanta Weller exclusively at Urban Outfitters and Atalanta Weller X Clarks Originals.
Her ground breaking scuptural shoes form part of the V&A permanent collection and are regularly exhibited internationally.
Her work can be found in the fashion and design press such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle iD and Monocle Magazine. The shoes have a strong following from Sienna Miller and Halle Berry to Jessie J and Lady Gaga.
ATALANTA
In 2015 Atalanta was invited to become a freeman of the Cordwainers livery company for which she is also one of the judges for the prestigious Cordwainers footwear designer of the year award, now in its 10th year.
​A graduate of Corwainers college, London, Atalanta remains passionate about all things design and education and enjoys guest lecturing at The Royal College of Art, The London College of Fashion, London.
In 2015 Atalanta expansed the scope of her design portfolio when she was appointed creative director of critically acclaimed boutique Hotel, Jalakara. www.jalakara.info
Atalanta is married with two children and two guinea pigs.
She splits her time between London, Somerset and India.
